Getting an online omni-directional consiousness choosing and measuring machine (consiousness, seems to be utilitarianly ubiquitous, meaning it doesn't seem to change much based on location, so tapping into consiouness with machine could allow something to “see” and “interact” with what wants to be measured to know what it is.)

Reading the fundamental layers of space itself (another constant thats ubiquitous, is space and time, having something that could read these could technically be able to “read” how many grains of sand is on a coast of a beach, and how many galaxies there are in a local area, because the sand and galaxies already exist within that space itself)
